Security OfficerJob TitleSecurity OfficerDivision / DepartmentHuman Resource & AdministrationPosition Reports ToHead of HR & AdministrationPosition SupervisesSecurity AssistantJob Purpose To coordinate security functions within the Company premises, and carry out security investigative assignments whenever necessary.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement efficient and effective security systems, plans and policies for the company in close liaison with the Head of HR & Administration.Conduct security risk assessments for all Company offices, residences, and depots.Responsible for the Company’s fire-fighting system/team, ensuring all equipment is operational in liaison with the Head of Production.Plan and supervise the work of both Company and contracted security staff.Liaise with service providers and internal departments to ensure proper use and maintenance of security systems according to SLAs.Conduct training/briefing on safety and security procedures to ensure personnel adherence to guidelines.Carry out security investigations in cases of loss of Company property or security lapses as instructed.Maintain security records and examine gate registers to monitor traffic flow into and out of the Company premises.Ensure safe custody of all Company assets within Company premises.Provide on-the-job training for Company security guards.Prepare and submit monthly security reports and any other reports as required.Liaise with local stakeholders and community leaders to gather and verify security information.Knowledge and Skills RequiredKCSE Certificate with at least minimum C- (Minus)Minimum of three (3) years served in a reputable security firm or disciplined force at the rank of sergeant or aboveDiploma in Security ManagementKenya Police/Military/NYS training or other similar institutionValid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya PoliceCompetencies and AttributesProficiency in computer applicationsSurveillance, safety, first aid, and firefighting skillsCustomer-centric with high level of professionalismExcellent investigative and report writing skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAlertness, agility, and physical fitnessApplication Procedure If you meet the above requirements, please submit your application letter, clearly quoting the position title, an up-to-date CV, copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials, and contact details of three (3) referees to:Email: careers@ketepa.comDeadline for application: Tuesday, 7th April 2026 Note: This advert is open to internal applicants only (KTDA and Subsidiary Companies).
