After years of being in the land of opportunity there was a strong desire to create opportunities for Kenyans back home.We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Legal Support Officer to provide legal and administrative support across the organization. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring compliance, managing legal documentation, and supporting internal stakeholders on legal-related matters. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle-including drafting, negotiation, and repository tracking-while coordinating with external counsel on high complexity commercial and loan agreements. Monitor and ensure compliance with Kenyan banking laws and CBK regulations, managing the regulatory register, inspections, and external interpretations of legal requirements. Direct corporate governance and statutory secretarial duties, covering the maintenance of statutory registers, Registrar of Companies filings, and the preparation of Board meeting materials. Oversee all legal proceedings and dispute resolution, including debt recovery and customer claims, while managing external counsel performance, budgets, and court timelines. Advise on Kenyan labor law compliance, providing legal guidance on employment contracts, disciplinary matters, and organizational restructuring or layoffs. Mitigate operational and ethical risks by advising on related party transactions, potential conflicts of interest, and the legal safety of marketing and communication materials. Protect the company's intellectual property portfolio through the management of trademarks, brand registrations, and enforcement strategies. Execute legal due diligence and provide strategic advisory support for M&A activities and high-stakes partnership negotiations. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or related field At least 3 years of relevant experience in a legal or compliance role Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law Excellent drafting and communication skills High attention to detail and confidentiality Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
