Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. The 1979 Act established KEMRI as a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.Key Responsibilities: Adhering to good clinical practice within a research environment Developing standard operating procedures related to research studies Collecting data and managing study participants Obtaining informed consent, maintaining confidentiality, and handling study data in accordance with ethical standards Performing any additional duties assigned to support project operations Vacancy Requirements: Diploma in Community Health Nursing and midwifery, Diploma in community health and development, Diploma in Nutrition, social work or related fields Mandatory One to five (1- 5) years of post-college graduation Mandatory Willing to live and work in Migori Mandatory Passionate about maternal and child health and community health Mandatory Willingness to learn and develop knowledge and skills in research in human subjects Mandatory Should be willing to gain research skills while being mentored together with other interns in the project. Mandatory Nurses MUST have a valid practicing license and be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya Mandatory Be a Kenyan youth below 30 years of age.
